POWERPOINT LECTURES, LESSONS, SIDENOTES

Our Microsoft PowerPoint Lecture Presentations are prepared for Windows XP SP2 (2003 or later, VISTA & Windows 7*

These lectures combine knowledge from three areas:

1.- Theory and practice of Organic Chemistry teaching (40+ years of experience)

2.- Teaching technology

3.- Graphic arts design

All this know-how has been put together using also ChemWin, ACDLabs Chem Sketch, JMOL, and other software tools. We have put considerable time and effort to create motion effects in text, images and molecular renderings to show all concepts step by step rather than overwhelming the student with a screen loaded with information in one shot or boring effects.

Each lecture includes other educational materials in addition to the PowerPoint slideshow shown below.

New lectures are being added frequently as they are produced and carefully revised. So make sure you visit this page often.

HAVE A TASTE OF HOW OUR SLIDES LOOK LIKE AND OPERATE.

The image at right is just one example of the hundreds of slides we have prepared to illustrate our lectures.  DOWNLOAD IT FREE AND SEE IT AT WORK. It will automatically start. To see it in full screen mode, just right-click and select Full Screen view in the drop menu after the presentation starts.

Written concepts, orbital energy diagrams of sp3 carbon and valence electrons will appear in parallel to a lecturer's voice. The visual effects will help students in fixing concepts. Also frequent quizes are inserted for discussion in class.

Each lecture contains 15-30 slides of the kind you see at right. The time length of the lecture is up to how much emphasis you want in particular issues of your liking. However, we have designed each lecture for a 45 - 60 min class. More time is allowed for longer lectures.

While lecturing with these slide shows, you have complete control of the pace of effects and slide advance by way of on slide buttons or mouse clicks.
